Robert A. Brazil joins us from New Hampshire Legal Assistance where he was the manager of the northern offices of NHLA in Littleton and Berlin, NH, supervising two other attorneys and a support staff of four.  He was at NHLA for eight years, and his practice there focused on housing, general assistance benefits and family law. He also conducted legal checkup screenings at senior centers, and helped organize the North Country Housing Forum. Prior to his work at NHLA, he worked at Gawryl and MacAllister in Nashua, New Hampshire representing clients primarily in family matters, personal injury, real estate and business formation.

Bob received his B.A. from Southern New Hampshire University (formerly New Hampshire College) in 1988 and his J.D., cum laude, from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, MN. He was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire in 1998. Bob was admitted to the Vermont Bar in 2009. He is currently an active member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, Coos County Bar Association as well as the Grafton County Bar Association.  Bob’s focus in our firm is on real estate, general civil litigation, family law and business law.

He is on the Board of Directors for Kiwanis, Board Member of Aikido of Montpelier, Board of Directors of the Northeast Kingdom Youth Services, is a member of the Caledonia County Diversion Review Board and a member of the St. Johnsbury Community Justice Center.  In January 2012 he became a corporator for Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital as well as a member of the St. Johnsbury’s Elk’s Club.

Bob lives in St. Johnsbury with his wife, Melissa Bridges. He is an avid fly fisherman, cook and bookworm.
